What changes. What does not.
St. James’s Place has confirmed that Technical Connection will close as a standalone business and the external Techlink service will end on 6 March 2027.
Until then, current Techlink access continues. T3A Adviser is a separate, independent platform opening in February 2027. It is not the Techlink service and is not an SJP service. It is being built by Tony Wickenden and the wider T3A team for the work ahead.
No. Existing arrangements continue until 6 March 2027.

From November, get the Preview Edition.
A weekly email — to read online or as a beautifully designed PDF — showcasing one facet of T3A Adviser at a time: The Watchlist, The Pulse, The Brief, Client Signals, practitioner Perspectives, sneak previews of ASK Tony and illustrative Q&As.

The technical fundamentals have not disappeared.
The environment around them has changed: more frequent tax and regulatory change, more complex client decisions, higher evidential expectations and general-purpose AI tools that can sound certain without being governed.
Recreating yesterday’s service would not be enough.
T3A Adviser is being built for the work ahead, combining trusted technical authority with faster working intelligence, practical application and visible professional discipline.

Make sense of what matters today.

The editorial standard
Being right is the baseline. Being useful is our standard.
Only what changes the work.
We filter for significance, not volume. If a development has no meaningful implication for advice, clients or practice, it does not earn space.
The “so what?” is the point.
What happened is only the beginning. We show who it affects, what it changes and where the planning trade-offs sit.
Built to be used.
Adviser moves, client-ready language, practical frameworks and evidence prompts turn intelligence into action.
Written from inside the work.
Technical, regulatory and practitioner judgement shape the material from the start. Not paraphrased news. Not generic commentary. Not content written at arm’s length from advice.
ASK Tony · Governed technical intelligence
The difference is what we don’t leave to AI.
General purpose AI is extraordinarily clever. ASK Tony is built for something harder: being dependable when the answer matters.

The judgement behind T3A is visible.
Four disciplines. One operating unit.
T3A is shaped by senior practitioners across technical, regulatory, research and communications disciplines. The people shaping the platform are the people setting its standards, challenging its thinking and carrying that judgement into the work advisers actually do.

Consistency at scale. Judgement where it matters.
For advisers, T3A means less duplicated research, clearer routes through complex cases and stronger client conversations.
For firms, it creates a common technical foundation: current intelligence, shared standards and governed tools across the business, while human expertise concentrates on the cases where judgement genuinely adds value.
